The short answer
Motorcycle work at White-Tee Garage is billed at $70/hr. That’s labour only. Parts are extra. Before I start, I’ll tell you what the bike needs and what it’ll cost.
- Motorcycle labour$70/hr
Labour only. Parts are extra.
Why bikes are priced by the hour
Motorcycles vary too much for one set price. A single-cylinder dirt bike and a V-twin cruiser with two carbs are very different jobs, so I bill my time and tell you the price up front.
What changes the cost
The biggest factors are:
- Carburetors vs fuel injection, and how many carbs there are
- How long the bike has been sitting. Old fuel turns to varnish and gums up jets.
- How much has to come apart to reach the problem (tank, bodywork, airbox)
- Parts: plugs, filters, fuel lines, gaskets, carb kits, batteries
Proper diagnosis first
I’d rather spend the time finding the actual problem than throw parts at it and hope. That keeps your bill to the work the bike actually needs.
How to get an exact price
Fill in the form with the make, model and year and what it’s doing. A photo or short video of it running (or not) helps. I’ll call you with a price.
